Women in Jazz X Jazz Cafe presents Yazz Ahmed, Rosie Turton & Alina Bzhezhinska

We team up with Jazz Cafe to present a trio of breakthrough artists from London’s fertile jazz scene.

British-Bahraini flugelhorn player Yazz Ahmed returns to the venue following her sell out album launch last year. Here she’ll be presenting her new improvisation project Electric Dreams, in which collaborates with her favourite musicians to create unique, spontaneous compositions.

These free flowing and conversational improvisations make use of electronic effects, sound design, live looping and sampling, in an exploration of contemporary jazz from a different angle.

Also joining the bill is trombonist Rosie Turton, who brings her quintet following the acclaimed release of her 5ive EP on Jazz re:freshed in January, and Alina Bzhezhinska who will open the show with a solo performance on the harp.
